AUSTINTOWN

Richard and Denise Mellott of Austintown are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Nichole Michelle Mellott of Youngstown, to Eric Allan Shafer, also of Youngstown. He is the son of Edward and Sue Shafer of Warren.

The couple will be married at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 22 at Julia’s Bed and Breakfast in Hubbard. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and for the reception, which will take place at St. Demetrios Banquet Center in Warren.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is an RN supervisor at Humility House in Austintown.

The prospective groom graduated from Kent State University-Trumbull with an associate degree in electrical engineering. He is employed by Ajax Tocco Magnethermic in Warren as an electrical technician.
