Middle school students’ poems chosen for publication

Seventh and eighth-grade students at Polnd Middle School recently participated in Creative Communications, a program that offers a poetry contest to students giving them an opportunity to publish their works.

Teachers, professors and writers comprise the staff who select from peer groups according to age and location. Less than half of the poems submitted are accepted for selection and some are identified with high merit.

The following seventh and eighth grade Poland Middle School students have had their poems chosen to be published in the 2011 spring edition of Creative Communications Poetry: Santino Almasy, Jake Buccieri, Nikki Ciavarella, Katie DeGenaro, Nicky DelSignore, Charlie Dwyer, Emily Ethridge, Nicholas Ferrick, Seth Golden, Jake Halatek, Tahlor Kimble, Kate Landry, Chelsea Mann, Shane McCreery and Evan Montgomery.
