Local pianists perform in Canfield

Neighbors | Submitted .Winners of the National Membership in the American College of Musicians accepted their awards at a ceremony at the Ursuline Mother House in Canfield..The winners memorized and performed 10 or more pieces of music.  

The Fanny DeDomenico Piano Studio recently hosted its annual recital and awards ceremony at the Ursuline Mother House in Canfield. The students received awards from recent competitions including National Federation of Music Clubs, National Piano Guild, Youngstown Music Teacher’s Association Musical Arts Fest, and YMTA Philharmonic Master’s Competition.

The recital featured students performing their competition pieces from such composers as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and others. Students ranged in age from 7 to 18 and performed for a packed auditorium of friends and family members.
