Police seeking street light vandals in Boardman

Police are searching for who is responsible for knocking down or damaging five light posts on Lost Creek, Caribou, Stoney Creek and Gardenwood drives.

Residents told police that the damage was done late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

Township Administrator Jason Loree said if police arrest anyone for the crime, that individual would be responsible for paying to fix them.

He said that a few areas have lighting districts that include a fee for repairs, but to his knowledge, this neighborhood does not have a lighting district, and “Ohio Edison more than likely will have to replace those.”
