Man issued summons at Justin Bieber event

NEW YORK

New York City police say a 47-year-old man has been issued a summons for disorderly conduct involving an incident with teen pop sensation Justin Bieber.

Police say it happened Thursday afternoon outside Macy’s department store in Manhattan, where Bieber was promoting his new fragrance. Police say the 17-year-old Canadian singer was not injured. They did not give details of the alleged incident or release the man’s name.

Judge tells Lohan: No more house parties

LOS ANGELES

The house party is over for Lindsay Lohan, at least while she’s on house arrest.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner chided Lohan for having rooftop parties at her home while serving house arrest on a probation violation but said the actress hadn’t violated any other rules.

The judge said Lohan didn’t violate her probation by testing positive for alcohol during a recent test because the court record was ambiguous about whether she still had to do that testing.

Graphic novel outlines raid on bin Laden

PHILADELPHIA

What really happened the night Osama bin Laden’s hideout was raided by U.S. forces may never be fully revealed.

But IDW Productions hopes to shed some light — with a bit of creative license — on the event in an upcoming graphic novel.

Written by retired U.S. Marine Capt. Dale Dye and Julia Dye, the 88-page hardcover takes a calculated look at the mission. The authors say they wanted to keep the focus on those who planned, conducted and executed the raid, not politics.

The book is titled “Code Word: Geronimo.” It will be released Sept. 6 in comic shops and bookstores, ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
