Gunfire reported in Boardman

Police are investigating reports of gunfire near Mill Creek Boulevard and Brookfield Avenue.

A man told police he was sitting on his back patio around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when he heard a vehicle slow down in front of his Mill Creek Boulevard home.

Two gun shots fired rapidly, and the vehicle sped away, according to reports. Police said they recovered one .40-caliber pistol shell casing, and no homes appeared to be hit.
