Flag-disposal ceremony set for this evening in Poland

POLAND — Sons of the American Legion Mahoning Valley Squadron 15 will sponsor its 10th annual flag-disposal ceremony at 8:45 p.m. today at the War Memorial Building Post 15 Home, 35 Cortland St.

The public is invited to attend and participate in the ceremony where worn, frayed, torn and/or faded American flags will be honorably retired. The ceremony is in conjunction with the annual “Celebrate Poland” events, including a parade at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m.
