Work halts Ohio scenic railroad in national park

BRECKSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A vintage railroad through Ohio’s Cuyahoga Valley National Park has come to a temporary halt because of track construction.

Officials say the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad temporarily suspended service in the park beginning today. The park is located between Cleveland and Akron.

No date has been set for service to resume.

The train rides will still be available Wednesday through Sunday beyond the park, between Canton and Akron.

According to The Plain Dealer newspaper of Cleveland, suspension of service will allow construction to be completed faster.
