St. Joe’s at the Mall, next to Sears in the Eastwood Mall, is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

St. Joe’s at the Mall is offering pneumonia vaccines by appointment for $48. Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare HMO will be billed. Call 330-652-7542 for an appointment. Free blood-pressure screenings are offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Also offered are “Strong Bones — Strong People,” a free 12-week program of personalized strength training and nutritional education for those who have osteoporosis, low bone density and need to improve muscle strength and nutrition. Another program is “Weight Management through Strength Training.” The cost is $20 a month, and includes nutrition classes once a month on diet and behavior modification. Labs are upgraded

SHARON, PA.

Sharon Regional Health System has upgraded its cardiac catheterization labs through the installation of a new $1 million cardiac/vascular diagnostic and interventional suite within its Heart and Vascular Institute. The new system is fully digital and enables physicians to capture and view images of a patient’s vascular system while also decreasing a patient’s radiation exposure. The result is a faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cardiac and vascular conditions through procedures such as diagnostic catheterizations, stenting, and balloon angioplasty.
