Casey Anthony murder trial enters Day 27 in Fla.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Defense attorneys have called to the witness stand an FBI expert on hair and fiber in the Florida murder trial of a woman charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter.

Stephen Shaw took the witness stand today on the 27th day of Casey Anthony’s trial. Defense attorneys are trying to poke holes in some of the prosecution’s forensics evidence.

Shaw had testified for the state earlier in the trial.

The body Anthony’s daughter, Caylee, was found in December 2008, almost six months after she went missing in Orlando. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder and has pleaded not guilty. She faces the death penalty if convicted.
