Youngstown man charged with stealing 3K-plus pounds of scrap metal

Police charged John Knicely 28, of First Street, Youngstown, with receiving stolen property after officials from Cleveland Auto Wrecking, 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, called about a suspicion of stolen scrap metal.

Police say he admitted he stole the scrap piece by piece from Youngstown Pipe & Supply of Youngstown and eventually stole some 3,320 pounds.
