Brendan Cox had three hits and Dan Popio drove in a pair of runs for Astro. Brendan Wells added a double, while John Beatty and Matt Unkefer hit triples. Pat Rhodes scattered four hits in the five-inning shutout. Dan Spiker hit a double for Wharmby.

Astro scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for the win. Jacob Clayton hit a two-run triple for Astro and Gino Divencenzo’s two-run single won the game. Clayton had three hits overall while Sabatino Danardo doubled. For 1080, Cameron Rodgers and Nick Kricerik had three hits each. Rodgers and Tyler Alegres hit doubles.

Sunrise Inn 7, Cardinals 2

Matt Schultz struck out 13 and Derek Armstrong had a pair of RBIs to lead Sunrise Inn (9-4), which regained first place in the league standings.

P.I.&I. Express 8, Mahoning Valley Knights 3

Jason Martin went 3-for-4 with a triple and a doble and two RBIs to lead Express (8-7). Robbie Sullivan went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Matt Shelton had eight strikeouts to get the win. Dave Piersante had two hits and two RBis for the Knights (9-5).
