Police take 2 from house near NY pharmacy killings
MEDFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Police have taken two people from a house that’s near a New York pharmacy where four people were shot to death over the weekend.
Suffolk County police escorted a man and a woman out of the Medford house today. Police and the district attorney’s office declined to say whether it was related to the pharmacy murder investigation.
The bloodshed occurred Sunday morning at Haven Drugs in Medford. The victims included a teenager who would have graduated from high school this week. The gunman stole prescription painkillers and killed everyone in the family-owned pharmacy before fleeing.
The killings prompted police to set up extra patrols near some Long Island pharmacies. They released photos taken from surveillance video and have received more than 250 tips.
