Leavittsburg man faces drug possession charges

WARREN — Brian Kandel, 43, of Meadowbrook Drive, Leavittsburg, pleaded innocent to felony drug possession in Warren Muncipal Court after his arrest by the Trumbull Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force.

Kandel was released from the Trumbull County Jail after posting $25,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison.

TAG served a search warrant on Kandel’s house last week after receiving information about the home in connection with the abuse of prescription drugs by juveniles, TAG said.

Investigators seized $4,000, numerous prescription pill bottles with prescription drugs, digital scales, ledger book, marijuana and several firearms.
