Soldier, 25, from Dayton suburb, dies after atttack in Afghanistan


ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (AP) — The military says a 25-year-old Ohio soldier assigned to Fort Riley, Kan., has been killed in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says Pfc. Gustavo A. Rios-Ordonez died Monday in Kandahar province after his unit was attacked with an improvised explosive device. He was from the western Ohio city of Englewood, a suburb about 10 miles northwest of Dayton.

The military did not release further information about the soldier.
