NEO HealthForce’s Career and Wellness Fair will be 9 a.m. to noon June 29 in the Rose Melnick Medical Museum on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is aimed at anyone interested in a health-care career or education. Area schools will be on hand to discuss in-demand health-care careers. Humility of Mary Health Partnerswill provide healthcare screenings. Visitors can see museum exhibitsshowing medical technology past and present.

To register, call 330-965-1787. Registration is also available on the day of the event. Parking is available in the rear of Melnick Hall on Wick Avenue.

Antique/craft show

SALEM

The 47th annual Salem Kiwanis Club antique and craft show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16 at Centennial Park off Pershing Street.

Antique dealers from around the region will participate. Refreshments will be available. A local dulcimer club will perform at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

Proceeds benefit local children and youth programs in the community, as well as the Salem High School Key Club.

Jury selection in serial-killings case

CLEVELAND

Jury selection in the Cleveland trial of serial-killings defendant Anthony Sowell enters its third week today as attorneys interview the last of 200 potential jurors called for the case.

So far, Cuyahoga County prosecutors and defense attorneys have individually questioned 183 of the prospects, exploring their views on the death penalty at length and out of earshot of the media.

Seventy-four of them are scheduled to return Tuesday.

The attorneys expect to have a jury by week’s end; however, opening statements have yet to be scheduled.

Meetings canceled for retirees’ group

VIENNA

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 2111 will not meet at its regularly scheduled time and date Tuesday. Meetings for July and August also are canceled.
