Gender-Billock wedding plans are announced

The engagement and plans for the upcoming wedding of Sharon Rose Gender and David Thomas Billock, both of Cleveland, are being announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Dorothy Gender of Struthers and the late Albert F. Gender, earned a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care from Youngstown State University. She is a respiratory therapist at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

The prospective groom, who attended YSU, is employed as an assistant manager at Guitar Center in North Olmsted, Ohio. He is the son of David J. and Wendy Billock of Springfield Township.

The couple have planned an open ceremony for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. Invitations for an evening reception at The Embassy in Struthers will be issued.
