Scrappers beat Jamestown

Kirk Wetmore pitched six shutout innings to get the win and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers got four RBIs from catcher Jake Lowery to defeat the Jamestown Jammers 5-2 on Sunday at Eastwood Field.

After giving up 12 runs in the first 10 innings of the season, the Scrappers' pitching staff held Jamestown scoreless over a 16-inning stretch in the series.
