Man throws woman out of car on North Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating why a man tossed a 47-year-old woman from a vehicle this afternoon in the vicinity of Fairgreen and Ohio avenues on the city’s North Side.

A few minutes later, witnesses reported the man returned in his car, tossing a pair of flip-flops at the woman before fleeing the scene again.

Interviewed by police at St. Elizabeth Health Center’s emergency room, she told police she didn’t know the man or the vehicle, but he “jumped her and threw her out.” According to police, the victim appeared to be intoxicated. Police continue searching for the suspect.
