Pageant is accepting Miss Italian applicants

Miss Italian Youngstown Pageant of the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest is accepting applications for the 2011 pageant.

The pageant includes modeling, speaking about Italian Heritage and displaying a talent.

The Italian Fest is scheduled for July 29, 30 and 31 in downtown Youngstown. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. July 29 with opening ceremonies, followed by the Miss Italian Youngstown Pageant at 7 p.m.

Featured will be continuous entertainment and fun activities including Morra, a hand game, and a pasta-eating contest.

A Little King and Queen also will be crowned.
