Gallo Band to play at Woodworth Park
NORTH LIMA
The Frank Gallo Band is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Woodworth Park in Beaver Township as part of the township’s 2011 Music in the Park Concert Series.
The concert series, in its 10th year, will run weekly through Aug. 24 at the park, off East Western Reserve Road, between Market Street and Southern Blvd.
Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
Open casting call set for feature film
New Philadelphia
Skoche Films will have an open casting call for its feature film, “Old Fashioned,” which will be shooting in Tuscarawas County this fall.
“Old Fashioned” is about a former frat boy and a free-spirited woman who together attempt an “old-fashioned” courtship in contemporary America. Rik Swartzwelder, a Los Angeles resident who grew up in New Philadelphia, is the film’s writer-director.
All ages and types are encouraged to apply and should bring a current photo. Experience is a plus, but not required. No appointment is necessary.
Auditions will take place at the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas, 330 University Drive, from noon to 6 p.m. June 26; and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 27.
