Skebos, family celebrate 55th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Skebo of Youngstown are observing their 55th wedding anniversary with a Caribbean cruise and a reunion with their children, both in June,

The couple have six children: Diane Glodek of Wooster, Ohio; Monica Skebo and Michael Skebo, both of Galloway, Ohio; Joseph Skebo of Peachtree City, Ga.; Richard Skebo of Glendale, Ariz.; and Susan Duke of Marion, Ohio. The Skebos also are the grandparents of 10.

On June 2, 1956, the former Catherine Sarich became the bride of Mr. Skebo at Holy Trinity Church in Struthers.

Mrs. Skebo retired in 1996 as secretary for the Rehabilitation Service Commission in Worthington, Ohio.

She and her husband are members of St. Michael Church in Canfield, where she is a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Ladies Guild.

Mr. Skebo retired in 1995 as technical director for Technical Rubber Co. in Johnstown, Ohio. He is a member of St. Michael’s choir and the Knights of Columbus Men’s Club. Mr. Skebo is a veteran of the Korean War.
