AARP Chapter 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 1612 Raccoon Road, Austintown. Blood pressure screenings will be available at 12:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Debbie Shirilla from the Austintown Senior Center. Members are encouraged to take applesauce for donation to the Rescue Mission. Tickets will be available for the July 12 picnic. The cost for the picnic is $3 in addition to a casserole, salad or dessert. Deadline to buy picnic tickets is July 8; contact Pat Miller at 330-799-2635. The board meeting will take place June 20. There will not be a board meeting in July or a membership meeting in August. Guests and new members are welcome.
AARP Chapter 4611 will meet Wednesday at St. Augustine Church, 614 Parmelee Ave., Youngstown. An executive board meeting at 11 a.m. will be followed by the general meeting at noon. The last payment toward the trip is due. Members are reminded to take a covered dish for the luncheon, as well as school supplies for donating. Golden Pillars will gather at 11 a.m. Tuesday for a liturgy prior to a noon meeting at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave. Mary Novak will preside, and Mike Ferenchik will be honored as Father of the Year. After lunch bingo and cards will be played. Members are to take their own table settings for the luncheon.
Happy Wanderers will meet at noon Friday. Take a sack lunch; members whose last names begin with A through L should take a cake. Coffee and tea will be provided. St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday for their monthly luncheon with Ruth Infante presiding. Mary Jo Theis and Carol McClain will give reports.
