Hitchcock Woods Preschool and Kindergarten hosted its 28th Annual Bike Day for the students May 20.
They set up a miniature town to travel through on their bikes in the school’s parking lot. Under the direction of Pattie Welsh, owner and 4-year-old teacher, and classroom teacher Linda Pitzer, the students carried their own drivers licenses and followed the path that led to a post office, car wash, gas station, fast food restaurant and (pretend) lake for fishing.
The buildings were made and decorated by students of the school. Two special guest officers, Christian Hunter and Dustine Strines, were present to give directions on bicycle safety. These officers are employed at Mill Creek Park.
