K. of C. Council honors Lady and Knight of Year
CAMPBELL
Knights of Columbus Council Marian 3813 received two Diocesan Awards for the Diocese of Youngstown at the recent Ohio State Knights of Columbus Convention in Columbus.
Dorothy “Dee” Mackos was honored as Lady of the Year, and Michael T. Jordon was honored as Knight of the Year.
Mackos is a member of St. Christine Church, where she is a eucharistic minister and greeter.
At St. Rose in Girard, she is the fourth-grade teacher and is a festival and bingo worker.
Her interaction with the Knights on the local level includes family events, children’s Christmas parties and socials. She is involved with Jesus, Mary & Joseph Assembly, Team Taylor and the President Charity Foundation.
Mackos and her husband, Joe, have a daughter, Pam. The couple will celebrate their 35th anniversary in August.
Jordon is a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown and Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown.
He serves as a lector, eucharistic minister, and member of Parish Council and the St. Joseph Men’s Club.
Jordon, who joined the Knights in 2006, is a charter member of St. Joseph Council and later transferred to Marian Council in 2010.
He is a charter member of Jesus Mary & Joseph Assembly 4th degree, a member of the President Charity Foundation and co-chairman of its annual golf outing in August to benefit Hospice of the Valley and Second Harvest Food Bank.
Jordon and his wife, Diane, are the parents of five children.
