Hilltop throws party for PTO volunteers

There are many ways to say “thank you” and Hilltop Elementary School hosted its annual Volunteer Breakfast to say just that to all the PTO volunteers May 27.

“I am one of the luckiest principals in the entire county,” said Cathy Mowry, Hilltop Elementary School principal. “It really touches my heart to see all the parent support we have here at Hilltop. I have never seen a parent group like this.”

The volunteers were treated to a breakfast which consisted of an egg casserole, fresh fruit, muffins, juices and coffee. Mowry thanked the volunteers and handed out thank-you gifts and cards.

“We appreciate every moment you give us. There is never a hesitation when volunteers are needed. You add so much to Hilltop and, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. You are the heart and soul of our school community. We could not have school without you,” Mowry said.
