Most everyone will agree it’s nice to be appreciated and Hilltop Elementary School students are no exception, especially since they were appreciated while bouncing and eating ice cream during the school’s annual PTO-sponsored Student Appreciation Day May 20.

The bounce-around party was also a reward for all students for selling cookie dough for the PTO’s annual fall fundraiser. The students could choose from four bounce-a-rounds, including a fire truck slide, a bounce castle, a pumpkin pitch and an obstacle course slide which were set up in the playground area.

Each class had 30 minutes to bounce and play as much as they possibly could.

In between enjoying the bounce-a-rounds, the students created their own sundaes from a sundae bar provided by Dairy Queen. They could choose from toppings such as chocolate, strawberry, green sour apple, sprinkles, Oreos and whipped cream.

As an added bonus from Mother Nature, the sun was actually shining on the students as they had a blast bouncing and sliding and eating ice cream.
