Township police are searching for whoever stole items worth several hundred dollars from a Homestead Drive residence.
Police were called to the house just after 4 p.m. Thursday when a woman arrived home after being away for two days to find that someone had broken in by breaking a kitchen window, according to a police report.
The victim said her laptop, portable GPS, jewelry, a set of house keys, cellphone and loose change were missing.

Sterling House Assisted Living of Youngstown, 2300 Canfield Road, will have a strawberry festival from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. There is no charge, but donations will be accepted and will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A one-year fixed price for natural gas for members of the city’s aggregation program will be $5.97 per Mcf (a unit of measure for 1,000 cubic feet) for the 12 billing cycles starting with bills prepared after Aug. 15. The price will run through the July 2012 billing.
Current program members will automatically get the new price. Residents may opt to participate in the aggregation program by responding to the enrollment letter coming from Vectren Source, the natural gas supplier.
Letters will be mailed this month. Residents and small businesses will have until July 7 to enroll in the program.
Residents and businesses currently served by other suppliers should be aware of possible cancellation fees in their existing contracts before joining the program.
