Warren woman accused of ploughing car into 2 people
WARREN
Lavia L. Broadnax, 27, of Linden Avenue Southeast, pleaded innocent in Warren Municipal Court to two counts of felonious assault after an argument near her home in which Broadnax is accused of driving her car into two people.
Police said about 20 males and females were arguing at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses said Broadnax drove her car into a woman and a vehicle that were in front of 904 E. Market St., then drove her car back to Broadnax’s house.
Police observed fresh damage to Broadnax’s car and paint matching that of the car that was damaged.
Broadnax’s car hit a 20-year-old woman in her thigh, but the victim did not seek medical care.
A juvenile inside the car did not sustain an injury, police said.
