Vicente Fox, 2 Cabinet heads set for Ohio meeting

CINCINNATI (AP) — Two Barack Obama administration Cabinet secretaries and a former president of Mexico are among speakers lined up for this month’s convention of a major Hispanic group.

The League of United Latin American Citizens is meeting in Cincinnati for the first time, in a nod to the region’s fast-growing Hispanic population. Former Mexican president Vicente Fox and U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will take part in the convention that begins June 27.

Organizers stress that most of the convention is free and open to everyone, including a June 30 evening concert featuring Los Lobos.

They announced today that Cincinnati-based consumer products maker Procter & Gamble Co. is the convention’s lead sponsor, and will have a big presence at the convention.
