Scouts will head off to adventure ranch

Greater Western Reserve Council, Boy Scouts of America, will send five leaders and 19 Scouts to Philmont High Adventure Scout Ranch in Cimarron, N.M., from July 10 through July 23.

The Scouts are from local Scout Troops 56, 80, 100, 115, 119, 165 and 557.

Philmont is one of four High Adventure Camps offered through the National BSA. Between June 8 and Aug. 22 around 20,0000 Scouts and adult leaders from around the United States will engage in backpacking treks around the ranch’s extensive back country.

Scouts raised the funds to participate in this event.
