Woodland Park opens Wednesday

The village’s Woodland Park officially opens for the summer Wednesday.
Park movies on Tuesday nights begin next week, starting near 8:45 p.m., and continue through Aug. 9. The movie schedule will be posted in the park building and at the municipal building.
The park pool will open, weather permitting, from noon to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
Park crafts will take place every Friday at noon, rain or shine.
Summer adult volleyball begins June 15 and continues every Monday and Wednesday until Aug. 17. Register at the municipal building by Friday.
Story Time in the Gazebo will be at noon every Monday starting June 20 until July 25.
The John Pete Checker Tournament will be June 24. All ages are welcome. The checker tournament will be at noon in the park pavilion. Tournament registration begins at 11:45 a.m.
Tie Dye Day will be in the pavilion from 1 to 4 p.m. June 24.
Concerts in the Park will be on Thursdays at the Ramsey Memorial Pavilion from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Other events include Safety Day on July 15; Beach Day in the Park, July 20; Ice Cream Sundae Day, Aug. 5; and the second annual Adventure Race, Aug. 18, which also will mark the closing of the park for the summer.
