Pa. state lawmaker arrested for DUI

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A television station is reporting that a Pennsylvania state lawmaker is facing charges of driving under the influence.

WGAL-TV said Bucks County Democratic Rep. John Galloway was arrested at about 2 a.m. today on Second Street in Harrisburg.

Harrisburg Police Chief Pierre Ritter says Galloway ran a stop sign before being pulled over. Ritter tells the station Galloway told police he was coming from the Capitol Complex at the time.

Ritter says Galloway failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test.

He’s expected to be charged through a summons.

Galloway didn’t return an email or phone messages left at his office.
