CRAFT SHOWS

Vendors are needed for the 24th Annual Arts & Crafts in the Park, to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25 at Centennial Park, East Pershing Street, Salem. Setup is at 7 a.m., rain or shine. A 20-by-20-foot space costs $25. Take your own tables and chairs, or they will be supplied for $35. Tents will be allowed, but no electricity is available. Celebrate Poland Craft Show, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 26, is seeking vendors. The show takes place on the front lawn of Village Hall on South Main Street, Poland. Among the features will be arts and crafts and various nonprofit organizations. Vendors can rent a 10-by-15-foot space for $30. FESTIVALS/FAIRS

St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, is having its 38th annual festival from June 15 through 19. The admission prices is $2; children 12 and under are admitted free. June 15 is children’s night; from 6 to 10 p.m., ride tickets will be discounted. At 7 p.m. SexTon Street Band and a rock band contest will go on in the lower church. From 6 to 11 p.m. June 16, there will be Texas Hold’em cash tables in the lower church. On June 17, Del Sinchak Polka Band will entertain from 6 to 10 p.m., and a Texas Hold’em Tournament ($40 buy-in) will go on the lower church. Register at cncpoker.net. Goodwill Stores in Austintown, Boardman, Calcutta, Hermitage, Liberty, New Castle, Salem and Warren are open Monday through Sunday and feature 50 percent off donated merchandise sales the last Friday and Saturday of each month. The stores sell clothing, furniture, household items, books, home decor items, electronics and new goods. Purchases help to fund job training and employment services to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment in the community. Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The ReStore carries a wide variety of building materials, including doors, windows, sinks and hardware, wood products, flooring, plumbing, electrical and lighting, appliances, electronics, furniture and home decor items. All items are sold at low discount prices.

A String of Pearls Red Hat Society June Group is having a gala day at Catawba Island Club on the shores of Lake Erie. The event will take place June 24. Youngstown Harley Owners Group is sponsoring a Panty Run on June 25 to benefit the Austintown Community Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive. Food, refreshments, games, basket auction, 50-50 raffle, a DJ and a bake sale will be featured. The cost is $15 per rider, $5 per passenger, and $5 for walk-ins. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Harley Davidson Bike Town, 5700 Interstate Blvd, Austintown. July 13 to the Ward-Thomas House in Niles, to Avalon Gardens in Youngstown for lunch ($9.50) and to the Arms Family Museum of Local History, the Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church and the Butler Institute of American Art, all in Youngstown.
