Warren man charged in weekend shooting

WARREN — A city man was released from Trumbull County jail today after posting $25,000 bond, charged with shooting a 37-year-old Warren man in the head Saturday morning.

Robert L. McCurdy, 41, of Oak Knoll Avenue Northeast pleaded innocent to felonious assault in Warren Municipal Court.

The victim, Darius E. Talley Jr. of West Park Avenue Southwest, suffered a gunshot wound to the head but sustained nonlife-threatening injuries, Warren police said.

The shooting occurred at 6:45 a.m. on Tod Avenue Southwest near Palmyra Road.
