Pedestrian killed; woman charged

One man is dead and a woman is charged with driving while impaired after a pedestrian-car accident at a Boardman apartment complex Sunday evening, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
It happened about 5 p.m. at the Chelsea Court Apartments on the 6300 block of South Avenue.
When the man was hit by the car, he was lodged under the vehicle, and bystanders had to help lift it off of him.
The man died after he arrived at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Police say the man and the woman driver knew each other.
The woman has been charged with OVI.
Minor quake jolts Northeast Ohio
MEDINA, Ohio
A minor earthquake hit Northeast Ohio on Sunday, the Associated Press reported.
Mike Hansen of the Ohio Seismic Network says the quake with an estimated 2.7 magnitude happened about 11:35 a.m. Sunday in Medina County, southwest of Cleveland.
It lasted only a few seconds, but some residents reported they heard a boom or felt shaking, as though an explosion had occurred.
Hansen says it’s the type of earthquake people might feel, but it’s not likely to cause damage.
No serious injuries were immediately reported.
