55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Hostesses will be Lorna Ramsey and Helen Rushen. Members will dine out after the meeting and play card games.
Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. The speaker will be Susan Gans, director of the Senior Independence Senior Center. Blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45. Reservations can still be made (based on availability) for the June 23 bus trip to Cleveland to see the “Jersey Boys” musical. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Mary Murar will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors will meet Wednesday following the noon Mass. John Mascardine will preside, and reports will be given by Clara Pascale and Ann Leone. Lunch will be served, and birthdays and anniversaries will be observed. There will be a 50-50 drawing, and cards and bingo will be played. Guests are welcome. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Retirees, Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Austintown Eagles Club, 1655 S. Raccoon Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.
St. Joseph Goldenagers will meet for the annual picnic at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Lyons Hall with Evelyn Menaldi presiding. Carol McClain will give the thought for the day, and reports will be given. Birthdays will be honored, members will play cards, and a 50-50 raffle is planned. Get-well cards will be sent. The next meeting is July 14.
