The Mahoning County One-Stop will host a recruiting event, which will include the opportunity for open interviews, for Home Instead Senior Care.
The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday and June 23 at 1412 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Residents who are interested in part-time employment as CAREGivers are encouraged to attend.

Drug-test seminar to look at legal view

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a seminar about employer options after an employee tests positive on a drug test.
The meeting, which will explore legal ramifications of taking action after a positive drug test, is from noon to 1:30 p.m. on July 13 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St.

Financial seminars will be live online
CANFIELD
Raymond James Financial Services will begin live, online educational seminars this week that cover a variety of investment and financial topics.
The first of three meetings is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 5731 Shields Road. Topics include long-term investment performance, retirement income and managing fixed-income risk.
All sessions are open to the public and are provided without obligation. Each session will last about one hour, and time will be provided for questions.

Inventors group schedules meeting
LIBERTY
The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association will meet at 7 p.m. on June 8 at the Liberty Township Administration Building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
A presentation will be given on free publications, services and information offered by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for inventors. The meeting is open to the public, and there is no charge.
Gift-basket event set
COLUMBUS
The 2011 National Gift Basket Convention will be in Ohio from Aug. 4-6 at the Ramada Conference Center in Columbus.
The event will feature instructors, vendors and designers who will show participants how to network and market gift baskets as a career.
The three-day event costs $199; there’s a $50 discount through June 12.
