The deadline to enter the annual Greater Youngstown Italian Fest Little King & Queen Pageant is June 15.

The pageant will be from 3 to 4 p.m. July 31. Winners will be selected for Little King & Queen for children age 5 to 7 and Little Prince & Princess for age 3 and 4.

The deadline is set for the middle of this month to have the child’s photo appear in the fest program book. Space is limited.

Job fair scheduled

One Step to Life will have a job fair at 10:30 a.m. June 15 at its headquarters, 3610 Southern Blvd.

Seminar planned

Mahoning County District Board of Health in conjunction with Youngstown State University’s Department of Geological and Environmental Science is sponsoring a seminar called “Oil and Gas Production, Permitting and Regulations in Ohio,” from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at YSU’s Beeghly College of Education in McKay Auditorium.

Scheduled speakers are YSU’s Dr. Jeffrey Dick, chairman and associate professor of geological and environmental sciences, and Tom Tomastik with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mineral Resources Management.

Rabies clinic

New Middletown

Mahoning County District Board of Health is sponsoring a rabies-vaccination clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at New Middletown Fire Department, 10711 Main St.

No appointment is necessary. Cost is $4. Pet owners must have their pets on a leash, in a cage or carried in a pillowcase.
