Sharing interest in education

Lock P. Beachum Sr., president of the Youngstown School Board, poses with Condoleeza Rice, former U.S. Secretary of State, after her April 9 keynote address during the National School Boards Association’s 71st annual conference in San Francisco. Beachum is the immediate past chairman of NSBA’s Council of Urban Boards of Education. Rice spoke about the importance of local district governance in providing solutions to education challenges in public schools.
