After the most competitive regular season in the history of the Youngstown Youth Flag Football Association, attention has now shifted toward the playoffs this weekend.

From top to bottom, teams in each division were equally matched and each week during the regular season was a chance to get better for this time of the season.

In the most exciting division, the 5 and 6-year-old Packers are undefeated, but there are at least four teams that will give Green Bay a run for its money. After the 7 and 8-year-old Buffalo Bills defeated the unbeaten Eagles in Week 6, they made the “X” on their back even bigger as the only undefeated team to left in the division.

The Arizona Cardinals had the best defense in the 9 through 11 division this season, which led to a perfect 6-0 record. However, they will need to score more points if they have any hopes of taking home the championship in the division.

The 12 through 14 New England Patriots defeated the Arizona Cardinals for the second time this season last week and have made it clear that nothing short of a title will be acceptable.

There’s no doubt that the “win or go home” mentality will bring out the best in each team this weekend. The playoffs begin today and conclude tomorrow. Games will be played at Boardman High School.
