WARREN

A local company has once again earned national recognition.

Warren-based 2 Ticks & The Dog Productions Inc. will be presented a 2011 Telly Award for Excellence in the local television commercial/restaurants category for its work with another local business, Station Square Restaurant.

The Telly Awards, in its 32nd year, honors outstanding local, regional and national television and film productions.

“We always strive to always put the best production together for our clients,” said Jim Fogarty, president and creative director of 2 Ticks. “It’s obviously nice to be recognized, and it’s a pretty established competition.”

2 Ticks won for its TV promotion for Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave. in Liberty, titled “10 entrees for under $10,” which promoted regional Italian dishes.

Fogarty said it took one day to shoot and was produced by five local staffers.

It’s the fourth time 2 Ticks has won a Telly for television commercial production. Station Square, in its 10th year under the ownership of Ottavio Musumeci, and 2 Ticks have worked together since 2001.

“I think it’s great,” Musumeci said. “Great production.”

2 Ticks also has worked on projects for O’Charley’s and politicians Tim Ryan and Robert Hagan, Fogarty said.

Winners for the 32nd annual Tellys officially will be announced later this month.
