Ohio woman dies after falling into Cuyahoga River

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio

Authorities say an Ohio woman who fell into the Cuyahoga River in Northeast Ohio died from a dislocated neck.

A Summit County medical examiner’s investigator says 46-year-old Dianna Dyak of Cuyahoga Falls fell into the river early Wednesday at Riverfront Park in Cuyahoga Falls.

Chief Investigator Gary Guenther says in a release that the death was accidental. He says bystanders called 911 when Dyak fell into the water about 12:30 a.m.

Guenther says firefighters found Dyak’s body about 30 miles downstream.
