Pa.'s DC House members had $5M in expenses
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A U.S. House report on spending for the first quarter of 2011 shows that Pennsylvania representatives spent some $5 million to run their offices and provide services.
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review, citing the House’s Quarterly Disbursement Report, found that of the total, more than $4 million went to personnel costs.
Spending for the entire House was $318 million from January to March, with $147.7 million going to run offices, including salaries, office rent, equipment and other expenses such as subscriptions, postal expenses and others.
