Dustin Gardner, Valerie Bornhorst to wed in Aug.

Dustin John Gardner of Boardman is announcing his engagement and upcoming marriage to Valerie Jo Bornhorst of Minster, Ohio.

John and Margaret Gardner of Boardman are parents of the future groom. Miss Bornhorst is the daughter of Mark and Susan Bornhorst of Minster.

The couple are planning a 1:30 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 27 at St. Augustine Church in Minster and a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, also in Minster.

Invitations will be issued.

The couple both earned doctor of optometry degrees this year at Ohio State University College of Optometry, where Mr. Gardner is an auxiliary faculty member. Miss Bornhorst, who also attended Ohio University, is an optometrist at Vision Professionals and Ohio State Optical in Columbus.
