Andy Dobson doubled and scored on an error for the Cardinals. Mike Rohan then scored on Joe Cvengros’s single. Jake Abbott hit a two-RBI double for Sunrise Inn. Matt Schultz pitched seven innings and struck out five to pick up the win.

Sam Pitzulo Homes 11, Allegheny Hustlers 8

Sam Pitzulo Homes won the West Region of the East Zone by going a perfect 4-0 in the tournament with a championship game victory over Allegheny. Sam Pitzulo Homes was led by a strong offensive attack, with Joe Diloreto, Mike Watson, Ryan Halicki, Tanner Scott and Tod Gasior all having multi-hit games. Ryan Young pitched four strong innings to get the win. Pitzulo advanced to a game in Butler, Pa., with the winner moving on to the Palomino World Series in California.
