Rust Belt to bring more Durang’d

YOUNGSTOWN

Rust Belt Theater Company will present the second installment of its Durang’d Summer Series with another double feature beginning Friday.

“For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls” and “Titanic,” both written by American playwright Christopher Durang and directed by Robert Dennick Joki, will be staged at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again Aug. 5 and 6, at The Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., near downtown.

Durang is known for his outlandish, absurdist comedies.

“We had a great start with the first two shows, and things are about to get even crazier,” said Joki.

The cast includes Joki, Jennifer Kuczek, Jenna Cintavey, Dan Poppke, Suzanne Shorrab, Tom Smith, Kage Coven, Daniel McGarvey and Jen Caventer, with costumes by Pam Sacui.

There will be a reception after the opening-night performance.
