Ex-Trumbull engineer DeChristofaro is now a felon

David DeChristofaro, the recently resigned Trumbull County engineer, is now a convicted felon. DeChristofaro pleaded guilty today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to theft and conflict of interest. The charges resulted from DeChristofaro using county resources for personal and political matters. He was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution and $7,400 for the cost of his criminal investigation.
