Cops: Woman pulled from fire had throat cut

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Investigators say the woman whose body was pulled from a burning Philadelphia house had her throat cut.

Police are investigating the death of 27-year-old Rosalyn Daniels as a homicide after her body was discovered early Monday.

Officials say the fire was set to cover up the killing.

Daniels’ body was discovered by firefighters who responded to the call in the city’s East Mount Airy neighborhood shortly after midnight Monday.

Family members say Daniels had two children who were staying with her mother at the time of the killing.
