Jared Turocy had two hits and scored a run for the Glaciers in the regional tournament game. Shane Wagner, Corey Hill and Joe Sekula also had hits. For Shannon Fence, Jordan Dague doubled and scored three runs.

LITTLE LEAGUE STATE

Ages 11-12

Wheelersburg 6, Canfield 5

Canfield jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the third inning but couldn’t hold on and was eliminated from the state tournament. Playing for Canfield were Zachary Bernat, Dominic Cooper, David Crawford, Jake Cummings, Sean Frisbie, Cody Holland, Anthony Joseph, Jake Kuchmaner, Dean Lauer, Seth Opladen, Kyle West and Mark Wittmann.

LITTLE LEAGUE STATE

Ages 13-14

Poland 17, Conneaut 4 Poland 1, Wheelersburg 0 — Aleah Hughes pitched the shutout. Hughes, Chloe Bush and Jenna Schettler had hits while Abby Masluk scored the only run. Poland will play in today’s state championship game.
